There’s a certain charm to be found at this small airport built in 1956 (notice the photo I took of the palm tree carpet.) I love that there’s even a cute little diner there. Seeing the vintage airplanes with the mountains in the distance is really not a bad way to spend an evening (and it’s inexpensive!)
Tip: I’ve come to learn that the best day to go is Sunday, that’s when planes are taking off the most frequently. Also, it was recently taking over by a new owner at the close of 2018 (a former waitress there I believe) so the diner’s looks will be getting updated soon.
